Project Overview
We removed both units down to the curb, checked the surrounding decking for hidden water damage, and installed new skylights with a full manufacturer flashing kit: step flashing up the sides, head flashing above, and a continuous apron below tying back into the surrounding shingle courses.
Getting the surrounding shingles re-woven correctly around the new curb is what actually keeps a skylight dry long-term, not just the unit itself.
